Almond Jelly

Here's the 2nd recipe that my cousin share with me. ALMOND JELLY! For me I'm a big fan of almond jelly. I once made this to school but it seems like there certainly are quite a lot of people who can't take the smell and taste of it. For those who haven't try almond jelly before fear not, it's smell is just like almond syrup smell nothing horrible. Here's a good recipe to make a tasty almond jelly!

Ingredients:
  • 2000ml water
  • 1 tbsp gelatin
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pack agar-agar (white/clear)
  • Half bottle Sim Teck Hiang Almond Syrup (if don't have can be replace by almond syrup or almond essence with sugar syrup)
  • 1 can carnation milk
  • 1 can longan

Steps:
  1. Bring water to boil
  2. Mix the agar-agar powder with a little hot water and pour into boiling water.
  3. Mix gelatin and sugar together, off the fire and add into the boiling water.
  4. Wait for the water and mixture to cool.
  5. Add half bottle of the almond syrup (320ml)
  6. Add carnation milk
  7. Add longan water
  8. Add longan (optional)
  9. When putting the mixture into containers use a sieve.

Easy right? Just a few easy steps and you'll get yummy chinese desserts !
