Homemade Lasagne

After watching TTS on Kangta Cooking Show I kinda have the same feeling to make a homemade lasagne ^^ so yeah the next day I tried for the very first time to make my own pasta dough for the lasagna sheet and to make a SUPER EASY lasagne. For the lasagne sheet dough I tried an easy one i found online .

  • 400g of all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tspn of salt

Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them well or you could use the way i use by putting the flour and eggs on a sheet and knead them with your own bare hands . It was my first time kneading dough with my hands , and i end up getting flour all over the place ! After kneading the dough, put the dough in a zip-lock bag or cover it with a damp cloth and put it in the fridge for an hour.

After an hour cut the dough into 5 balls (depending on how big or thick you want your lasagne sheet to be). Because i dont have a Pasta Making Machine i had to use a kitchen roller to roll my lasagne sheets. Flattened the dough till it becomes a very thin sheet (thicker sheet is also ok depending which kind of texture you want for your lasagne) and then cut them into sizes that fit your baking dish.

Next we got to prepare the meat sauce you put in your lasagne. For the sauce i use a very easy method which doesn't use as much ingredients as the ones found online and also does taste great.

  •  Prego Pasta Sauce (any brand will do)
  • Minced meat (chicken, beef or pork depending what you want )
  • Canned mushrooms (dice it!)
For the meat you could add some flavouring to it . For me i added...

  • 1 tspn of salt
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • some oregano
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil

After preparing the ingredient we got to cook the sauce ! This is the easiest step of all, first put some oil add onions and garlic when they turn a brownish add the meat, mushroom when most of the meat is cooked, pour the pasta sauce in. Add some salt, olive oil, italian herbs, oregano to give it some flavouring, and there you go a nice & simple meat sauce.

Once the meat sauce is done butter the baking dish and put in the first layer. Meatsauce--> lasagne sheet ---> meatsauce ----> lasagne sheet---> meatsauce--->lasagne sheet --->meatsauce (last layer cover with mozarella cheese! )

Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350F) and then cover your lasagne with an aluminium foil. Put the lasagne into the oven for 30mins. Take the lasagne out remove the aluminium foil and put it back into the oven for another 10mins.

A few simple steps and my first ever lasagne was made! yeah ^O^ my review : It took almost 3hrs including the hour for the dough. The taste was great, the only down point of my lasagne was the lasagne sheet i made was a little too thick. But it was a great try my dad who loves pasta said it was good, i enjoyed it so do my familia ^^ For the next post i will be posting two other dish i made using the leftovers from my lasagne soo.. stay tuned and comment ^O^
